Martin Kay
The business is headed up by Martin Kay who has many years experience within the industry as a consultant, manager and business owner. Martin has an interesting background having spent the previous 12 years involved in music management and production. Martin started his musical career as a DJ spinning his wares around the UK before venturing into production. An early career highlight was signing to the record label Zang Tumb Tumb (ZTT) home of Seal, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, 808 State and Adamski to name a few.
Martin then decided to start his own label, Zazoo Recordings, where he licensed the music to compilations around the globe and opening opportunities to perform in the likes of Argentina, France, Denmark, Belgium, Ibiza etc. Next up was the creation of a management company, Turquoise Egg, and the nurturing of several leading producers and their labels. Martin decided to venture into a new career after 9/11 due to the crash in export sales.
In his spare time, Martin enjoys playing badminton, running, watching football and spending time with his nephew and family.
